Local Bookshops

4-5 Milsom St, Bath BA1 1DA, UK – 01225 448515

Wow, this was a surprise find. After visiting the Roman baths, my wife and I went out in Bath and found a bookstore. The staff was fantastic, the book selection even better. It is great to see a small, corner bookstore.

Nice big book shop on four levels. Varied stock, pleasant atmosphere, helpful staff. Also good coffee shop on first floor. Also toilet! It’s a one stop shop in that respect 🤓

Topping & Company Booksellers of Bath

The Paragon, Bath BA1 5LS, UK – 01225 428111

Toppings is everything that you would wish for in an independent local bookshop. Books of course but also friendly, helpful and informative staff and they'll offer you a cup of coffee or tea as well. They also run meet the author events and have the lull to get really big names to come to these. Toppings is the sort of bookshop you feel really happy to have in your city.

What an delight to stumble upon this Independent bookshop. The booksellers were so knowledgable and helpful. It was so nice to while away an hour reading extracts of possible books whilst sipping a cup of complimentary tea! A rare treat in a world of amazon and other chains- thoroughly recommended.

Mr B's Emporium Of Reading Delights

14-15 John St, Bath BA1 2JL, UK – 01225 331155

I would wholeheartedly recommend buying someone a book Spa! If they're not totally into reading it's a good way of getting them a bunch of books to give reading another try. And if they LOVE reading it's a great way to try books they may not normally choose. The staff really know their stuff and are so helpful and friendly.

What a delightful place. I just absolutely adore this shop. It's quirky, beautiful and just absolutely delightful. It truly is full of amazing reading delights. If you are a book lover then you need to visit this shop. The staff are always do knowledge, super friendly and approachable. I can't wait for my next visit.
